Sustainable Future
Get Involved initiatives consist of two main pillars of action. These pillars utilize a variety of initiatives -including events, educational materials, newsletters, and other methods- to spread relevant educational messages. The first pillar promotes Financial Literacy and the second is Sustainability and ESG (Sustainable Future).
The Sustainable Future initiative by Get Involved is dedicated to educating and informing university students and graduates on contemporary ESG and Sustainability topics, issues, and developments. Our approach includes the use of different tools, such as educational materials, seminars, surveys, and newsletters. The combination of these tools effectively transmits knowledge from academia, institutions, and the market to a broad audience.
In addition to these pillars, the Sustainable Future initiative is driven by a commitment to innovation and inclusive access to information for all people. By continuously exploring novel avenues for education and engagement, we strive to ensure that our initiatives remain accessible and impactful for all. At the heart of our initiative lie three active pillars:
1. Educational Seminars
Launched in March 2023, our educational seminars are a cornerstone of the Sustainable Future initiative. These interdisciplinary sessions function as dynamic platforms for knowledge exchange among representatives of institutions, industry experts, academics and the youth. Tailored for a diverse audience, the seminars delve into the challenges and opportunities presented by the ongoing shift towards Sustainability and ESG transformation, while also highlighting best practices and policies from around the world. Featuring a distinguished roster of speakers – from leading institutions and corporations to renowned academics – our seminars foster engaging discussions.
2. ESG Literacy
ESG and Sustainability are constantly changing concepts and require an interdisciplinary approach to comprehend them. Recognizing the ever-increasing importance of these concepts, Get Involved is committed to actively contributing to promoting ESG Literacy among a broad and diverse audience. To achieve this, we are developing a range of accessible educational materials, such as glossaries and videos that will strengthen the understanding of our audience on the topics, terms, and challenges of ESG and Sustainability.
3. ESG Intelligence
The “ESG Intelligence” initiative aims to leverage insights to better promote, inform, and educate the youth on topics related to ESG and Sustainability. It prioritizes the initiation of an active dialogue with young people, to better understand their perspectives about specific topics of ESG and Sustainability. ESG Intelligence, through surveys and other methods, gathers the insights and perspectives of the youth in a hard data format and promotes its findings to our stakeholders (institutions, corporations, academia, and their youth). By utilizing these insights and distributing them to our stakeholders, the needs, expectations, and preferences of a young and diverse audience can be better understood and leveraged in tailoring how to best engage with this audience.
4. ESG Insights
The “ESG Insights: Impactful Awareness” run from October 2021 to May 2024, in collaboration with Velos Advisory. ESG Insights was a monthly ESG newsletter that informed on the most significant developments within the ESG ecosystem, in Greece and abroad. It delved into pivotal decisions, pioneering initiatives, cutting-edge research, and overarching trends shaping the regulatory, corporate, and international spheres. Within its lifespan 26 ESG Insights issues we published, covering more than 400 developments from 146 organizations.
