Past Projects
Through a wide range of initiatives, Get Involved seeks to provide young people with meaningful knowledge and reliable information that can make a real impact. By developing initiatives that combine knowledge, research, and active participation, we contribute to strengthening financial literacy, sustainability awareness, and the meaningful engagement of young people with some of the most pressing issues of our time. Below are some of our past initiatives, which reflect this ongoing commitment to informing, empowering, and engaging youth.
Global Money Week 2025 | Financial Literacy in Europe: Understanding the Views of Young People in Greece
20 March 2025
As part of Global Money Week 2025, Get Involved organised a roundtable discussion with university students and recent graduates. The discussion focused on the perceptions and practices of the younger generation regarding financial management. Participants highlighted key challenges in their financial everyday lives, placing particular emphasis on Gen Z’s views on managing personal finances and on the importance of financial education.
ESG Insights: Impactful Awareness
October 2021 – May 2024
“ESG Insights: Impactful Awareness” was one of the first Greek newsletters dedicated to ESG, published from November 2021 to May 2024. On a monthly basis, it provided updates on major ESG developments in Greece and internationally, covering corporate, governmental, institutional, and supranational initiatives.
ESG Insights was published in collaboration with Velos Advisory. Over the course of the initiative, 25 issues were released, featuring around 450 developments from nearly 150 organisations.
Sustainability Literacy and Youth Perspectives
November 2020 – January 2022
Get Involved conducted two surveys, in 2020 and 2021, with the aim of examining whether, and to what extent, acquired objective knowledge influences young people’s perceptions of sustainability-related issues. The surveys were carried out through an anonymous online questionnaire, with Greek participants aged 18 to 29 from different academic backgrounds.
At the same time, the research also explored the extent to which demographic factors, such as gender, age, and academic background, influence young people’s views and perceptions of sustainability.
Synopsis of the ECB Economic Bulletin
February 2020 – October 2022
The Economic Bulletin of the European Central Bank (ECB) is one of the institution’s most important communication tools, as it presents the economic data and developments, both within and outside the euro area, that are taken into account in the ECB Governing Council’s decision-making.
Recognising its importance, the Get Involved team prepared and published, from February 2020 to October 2022, a concise synopsis of the bulletin, with the aim of making its content more accessible to a younger audience.
Infographics Project
July 2021 – May 2022
The Infographics Project aimed to highlight current issues from different fields, including the social, technological, and environmental spheres, through the use of data from reliable sources and their visual presentation.
Through this initiative, important research findings and statistical data were presented on the economy of the European Union and the euro area, as well as on Greece’s position within that wider context.
Future Economic Lab
May 2018 – December 2019
Future Economic Lab was an online academic journal open to participation by students and graduates from different levels of study. Through this initiative, Get Involved gave young people with academic interests the opportunity to gain practical experience in research and academic writing, with the support and guidance of the team’s Scientific Associates.
