Apply Here to Participate in the ECB Simulation Conference
As part of the ECB Simulation Conference for university students, participants may take part in one of two distinct roles:
Central Banker:
This is the Conference’s main role and ensures the participants’ full and active involvement across the entire range of simulation processes.
Delegates take an active part in the workings of their committee, negotiate with the other participants, and contribute to shaping the Agenda.
A total of 108 positions are available, and a waiting list is maintained.
Staff:
The Staff Team supports the smooth operation and delivery of the Conference, in cooperation with the organizing team.
Its members contribute to the effective communication between the two committees, the maintenance of the necessary lists, and the coordination of individual Conference processes.
A total of 15 positions are available, and a waiting list is maintained.
To view the participation fee and the detailed benefits associated with each role, please go to the “Participation Cost” section.
To participate in the ECB Simulation Conference, applicants go through four main stages, designed due to the limited number of places available and the high volume of applications.
Complete the application form by providing your basic personal and academic details, along with a short explanation of why you would like to participate (pay special attention to this part, it is one of the most important selection criterion).
Once the application period has ended, the organizing team reviews all applications. You will be informed by email of the outcome of your application, which may be one of the following: selection as a Central Banker, selection as a Staff team member, placement on the waiting list (which may give you the opportunity to participate if a place becomes available), or non-selection.
All applicants receive a relevant update.
If you are selected as a Central Banker or as a Staff team member, you will receive instructions on how to confirm your participation within a specific deadline.
If the process is not completed within the given deadline, the place will be offered to someone on the waiting list.
Once the confirmation process is completed, the committees are formed, roles are assigned, and the first preparatory education materials are sent out, marking the beginning of the pre-conference period!
