Get Involved took part in the Athens ESG Awards launch event, held on September 14, 2026 at Serafio of Athens Municipality, organized by the Municipality of Athens. Co-founder Antonis Efstathiadis represented the team, joining the panel “The Value of ESG for Athens Businesses.”

In his remarks, Mr. Efstathiadis focused on the importance of supporting and promoting women’s and youth entrepreneurship, addressing both the obstacles young people and women face in the business world and the benefits that their more active participation in the economy can bring. He also highlighted the value of initiatives like the Athens ESG Awards in deepening understanding of sustainability issues and driving more substantive engagement from small and medium-sized enterprises.

It was a particular pleasure for Get Involved to contribute to this new initiative from the Municipality of Athens. The Athens ESG Awards — launched by Anaptyxiaki Athinas S.A., through the Municipality of Athens’ Energy Poverty Office (ΓΑΕΦ), and DAEM S.A. — aim to recognize and reward, on an annual basis, initiatives that deliver a meaningful, measurable positive impact across the three core pillars of ESG.

For Get Involved, a genuine transition to a more sustainable model requires the involvement and active engagement of everyone: institutions, businesses, academia, and the younger generation. Our participation in the Athens ESG Awards made a real contribution to the dialogue among these different stakeholders.
