Introducing the Get Involved Alumni Board

We are delighted to announce the establishment of the Alumni Board of Get Involved, a new initiative that reflects the long-term evolution of our organisation and strengthens the connection between the different generations of people who have shaped its journey.

Over the past nine years, Get Involved has been more than a series of conferences, projects and initiatives. It has grown into a community where young people develop skills, build meaningful relationships, gain valuable experience and continue their personal and professional journey long after their active involvement. The Alumni Board is a natural continuation of that journey.

The Alumni Board brings together former members who have made a significant contribution to the organisation and continue to share a strong commitment to its mission and values. Its purpose is to serve as a bridge between past and present generations of Get Involved, ensuring that knowledge, experience and institutional memory are passed on to those who will shape the organisation’s future.

Working closely with the Get Involved team, Alumni Board members will contribute their expertise, professional experience and strategic perspective, supporting the development of new initiatives and helping shape the long-term direction of Get Involved. At the same time, they will act as mentors for younger members, providing guidance, constructive feedback and insights drawn from their own academic and professional journeys.

For us, the Alumni Board is much more than an advisory body. It represents the belief that becoming part of Get Involved does not end when someone steps away from an active role. Instead, it evolves into a lifelong relationship built on collaboration, mutual support and continuous learning.

The creation of the Alumni Board also sends an important message to students and young people across Greece. It demonstrates that a youth-led organisation can become a meaningful environment for developing practical skills, building professional networks, assuming responsibility and creating opportunities that extend well beyond university life.

We firmly believe that the greatest strength of Get Involved has always been its people. The Alumni Board enables us to preserve and build upon this collective knowledge and experience for the benefit of our alumni, our current members, future generations of young people and, ultimately, the wider community we seek to serve.

Elisavet Dolopikou

My name is Elisavet Dolopikou. I am a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), a postgraduate student in the LL.M. program in European Business and Economic Law at AUTh, and a trainee lawyer specializing in Commercial Law.

I joined the Get Involved team in September 2025, and since then, I have been an active member of both the Legal and Operations departments. For me, Get Involved is a hub of innovation and interdisciplinarity that provides the ideal environment for developing new skills. The fact that this is an initiative driven by young people with a shared vision for producing meaningful work was my primary motivation for joining.

Scientific Associate

As a participant of the 1st ECB Simulation Conference, I had the opportunity to familiarize myself with concepts related to Central Banks, their objectives, and the exercise of monetary policy.
The reason I decided to join the Get Involved team stemmed from the fact that I strive for learning, especially in areas concerning economic literacy. I was drawn to the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals who share our shared culture and values.
As a new addition to the team, I am involved in drafting the Economic Term of the Week, which enjoys considerable success on Get Involved’s social media platforms. Furthermore, I am part of the team responsible for compiling the Study Guide, the pivotal manual for every delegate participating in the European Central Bank Simulation Conference.

Panteleimon K. Karamalis

Alumni Board

Pantelis Karamalis is a PhD candidate in the Department of Business Administration at the University of West Attica. He holds master’s degrees in Finance and Banking Management from the University of Piraeus, in Health Administration and Economics from the University of West Attica, and in Macroeconomics from University College Dublin. He also holds a degree in Business Administration, specializing in the Management of Health and Welfare Units, from the TEI of Athens. He currently works in the finance department of the Alexandra General Hospital of Athens, and has previously worked in the Finance Department of Euroclinic Athens, as a teaching assistant at University College Dublin, and as a visiting researcher at the Centre of Planning and Economic Research (KEPE).

He has been an active member of Get Involved since January 2020, having started out as a participant in the European Central Bank Simulation Conference. He later went on to serve as a Scientific Associate, playing an active role in numerous Get Involved projects, with a focus on research programs and studies, as well as editing the study guides used to prepare participants for the ECB simulation conference.
