Co-Founder of Get Involved participated in the “MyReLearning & Account & Finance Society – Deree ACG Event” with a Presentation on Budget Resilience
The presentation delivered by Get Involved co-founder and MyReLearning mentor, Anthony Efstathiadis, titled “Budget Resilience for Organizations – How organizations plan, estimate, absorb shocks, and adapt their budgets without losing control”, was successfully held on Monday, March 30, as part of a seminar organized by MyReLearning in collaboration with the Account & Finance Society of Deree – The American College of Greece.
The presentation focused on the concept of budget resilience, namely an organization’s ability to design and manage functional and realistic budgets, able to adapt to changing conditions. Particular emphasis was placed on the fact that effective budget preparation is not limited to the accurate initial recording of data and needs, but also extends to an organization’s ability to absorb shocks, adapt in a timely manner, and maintain control without losing its strategic direction. The discussion highlighted that, in an ever-changing and often unstable environment, a budgeting model that proves effective at one point in time may become inadequate at another. From this perspective, budget resiliency serves as an essential approach of organizational resilience, enabling organizations to respond to change with greater flexibility, stability, and foresight.
Through this presentation, participants had the opportunity to engage with key concepts related to budgeting, organizational resilience, and the practical management of uncertainty.
For Get Involved, participation in initiatives such as this one is meaningfully linked to its core pillars of financial literacy and youth empowerment. Taking part in such initiatives is not only an opportunity to share knowledge, but also an important channel of dialogue with the younger generation, contributing to the continuous renewal and strengthening of the organization’s work.
