9th ECB Simulation Conference

The European Central Bank Simulation Conference for university students returns for its 9th consecutive year in 2025. From 21 to 24 November 2025, the 9th ECB Simulation Conference will take place at the Bank of Greece headquarters and the Athens University of Economics and Business.

It is one of the most prominent interdisciplinary academic initiatives in Greece, designed for students and recent graduates with a strong interest in economics, law, policymaking, and international affairs. Participants have the unique opportunity to simulate the workings of the European Central Bank, engage in structured debate, collaborate with peers, and co-develop policy proposals—enhancing both their knowledge and critical skills in a highly interactive environment.

Over the years, the Conference has been supported by prestigious institutions including the Bank of Greece, the Hellenic Bank Association, the Athens University of Economics and Business, Alpha Bank, and PwC. In 2020, the Conference’s conclusions were incorporated into the ECB’s strategic review, the first such review in 18 years—through the ECB Listens initiative.

Since 2021, the European Central Bank has been officially represented at the event. In 2022, the Governor of the Croatian National Bank, Mr. Boris Vujčić, participated in the proceedings. In 2023, the Conference’s Training Day featured a keynote address by the Greek Minister of National Economy and Finance, Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis.

If you’re passionate about monetary policy, economics, and the role of European institutions, this is an experience you simply can’t miss!
