Get Involved at the EESC End of Mandate Ceremony: Youth at the Heart of Democracy
Get Involved actively participated in the Plenary Session of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) during the “End of Mandate Ceremony,” held on 17 September 2025 in Brussels.
The ceremony marked the conclusion of the mandate of EESC President Oliver Röpke for the 2023–2025 term and brought together EU leaders, representatives of civil society, youth organizations, and international partners to honor the Committee’s contribution and to lay the foundations for the future.
During the event, Vassilis Angelopoulos, co-founder of Get Involved and Head of the Committee on Economics and Sustainable Development of the Hellenic National Youth Council, took part in the discussion “Opening Europe’s Future: Youth at the Heart of Democracy.” His participation highlighted the recognition of his broader involvement in the EU Youth Test process.
Our engagement—both during the pilot phase and the first cycle of its EU-wide implementation—demonstrates our firm commitment to promoting structured and meaningful youth participation in European affairs.
