Call for applications – 9th ECB Simulation Conference
We are pleased to announce that the European Central Bank Simulation Conference for university students returns for the 9th consecutive year in 2025. From 21 to 24 November, 2025, the 9th ECB Simulation Conference will take place at the Bank of Greece headquarters and the Athens University of Economics and Business.
It is the only conference at the European level that educates university students and graduates on the contemporary economic issues of the Euro Area. Since 2017, within the Conference, more than 1,000 young people in Greece have been educated, 26 important topics on the Euro Area have been examined and 84 speeches have been delivered by esteemed representatives from institutions, corporations, and academia.
This year’s examined topics:
- Economic Policy: The interaction between monetary and fiscal policy, the risks of fragmentation, and the limits of policy effectiveness in a persistent environment of overlapping crises (permacrisis).
- Climate Change & Resilience: The transition towards a sustainable financial system and the role of the European Central Bank in supporting climate and environmental objectives.
- Digital Euro: Implications for payments, the banking sector, and financial stability in the context of an evolving digital monetary landscape.
The ECB Simulation Conference has been recognized and supported by some important institutions and corporations, such as the European Central Bank, the Bank of Greece, the Hellenic Bank Association, the Athens University of Economics and Business, Alpha Bank, and PwC Greece.
