Serafeio (Municipality of Athens): 6th ECB Simulation Conference

The European Central Bank Simulation Conference is the only conference at European level that educates students of all levels on contemporary economic issues in the Eurozone. It is one of the most important interdisciplinary student events at the national level, as students with an economic and legal background acquire important knowledge and skills through experiential education and collaboration.

The Conference, which was held for the first time in December 2017, is an annual event and lasts 4 days. On the first day, the Training Day takes place, during which representatives of the institutions, distinguished professors and market people transfer their knowledge and experiences through speeches and interactive discussions. During the remaining 3 days, the conference participants, combining the knowledge they gained at the Training Day, as well as the pre-conference preparation by the Get Involved scientific team, meet in order to reach proposals on the provided Agenda.

For the best preparation of the participants, the Get Involved team places great emphasis on pre-conference preparation. Upon completion of the registration of a conference participant, detailed preparation material as well as the Conference agenda are immediately sent to him/her. In the interval between the sending of the preparation material and the start of the Conference, a series of calls are scheduled with the Get Involved scientific team, in which the said materials are explained and analyzed, but participants are also given the opportunity to ask their questions.

In 2020, the findings of the 4th European Central Bank Simulation Conference were included in the official ECB agenda for the review of Monetary Policy, while the conference as an event was recognized by the ECB and included for 2020 in the ECB calendar of activities within the framework of the ECB Listens program.

  1. Monetary Policy Transmission Mechanism
  2. Inflation (Types, Forms, Components, Historical Data and Forecasts)
