The Athenian Times met with Vasilis Aggelopoulos and Anthony Efstathiadis, two young individuals who, in 2017, conceived the idea to create an original for the greek standards organization , Get Involved. It is a youth initiative aimed at promoting financial literacy on an interdisciplinary level through modern and experiential educational methods.

With passion and enthusiasm, they presented their wide range of activities and events developed over the years, with the highlight being the annual ECB Simulation Conference—the first of its kind on a pan-european level. Among other projects, they publish the Future Economic Lab Journal, a scientific journal covering various issues in economic science and beyond.

They also discussed the importance of interdisciplinarity in approaching economic issues, the value of financial literacy in strengthening citizen awareness and empowerment, and the entire conversation touched on concepts and tools of economic policy.

As part of the collaboration between Get Involved and the Athenian Times, the website publishes a summary of the European Central Bank’s economic bulletin every six weeks, while further discussions with members of the organization are planned to deepen understanding and clarify applied economic strategies and tools.
