We sincerely thank Boris Vujcic, Governor of the Croatian National Bank, for his keynote speech on the first day of the 6th ECB Simulation Conference for university students. His presence and attendance are a special honor for all of us at Get Involved. With his speech, the Governor provided valuable insights to all the participants and offered them a perspective that transcended national borders and gave them the European dimension and importance of the monetary union and the benefits for a small economy.
In his keynote speech on the topic of “Euro adoption and EMU – the perspective of a small EU Member State “, he mentioned that the Euro Area in times of crisis increases stability for the members of the Eurozone, while Euro Adoption has significant economic benefits such as greater resilience, higher competitiveness, and improved overall macroeconomic performance.
He concluded by referring to Jean Monnet and stated that “Europe will be forged in crises, and will be the sum of the solutions adopted for those crises”.
