Issue 9, July 2022 – “The Foundation of Change”
Issue 9 of the ESG Insights initiative contains some of the most noteworthy developments in the ESG ecosystem that took place in June 2022, across the international and Greek spectrum. In this issue, supranational, national and corporate developments aspiring to achieve a more environmentally and socially sustainable future are examined.
The July Issue contains fifteen unique topics, ranging from the EU’s plan to make sustainable reporting mandatory for large corporations operating in the EU, to the 18 proposed principles on climate-related financial risks by the Basel Committee. Other key developments included are the publication of S&P Sustainable1 study highlighting the alignment issues between Green and climate-focused funds and the Paris Agreement, the French regulator AMF’s proposal for a Europe-wide regulation on ESG data, ratings and services products, the Greek public sector’s plan to reduce its energy consumption and the evaluation of Greece as the 21st most renewable energy country by EY.
